Just a couple quick notes:

--found I have ADD + anxiety, possibly Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD) as well
--also found that Obama the Idiot got a black belt without ever taking Tae Kwon Do >_>;;

With my ADD problems, my psychologist advised that I drop out of college for a while, try some new meds, and get a more interactive physical job other than sitting in a lab for 8 hours a day 5 days a week. It's kind of official that I'm burnt out, so I need a break. Still working on the Spyro fanfic here and there, just been juggling school and computer issues left and right.

About the black belt...I'm gonna fucking break something. As a former Tae Kwon Do red belt (before knee problems forced me to quit), Obama getting handed a black belt without touching the martial art is an incredible insult. You don't hand a sign of mastery to someone just because they want it or as an award or whatever. That highly degrades the meaning of the belt; we have to work our asses off to get that degree and he just gets it because he's president? bullshit.
If I could I'd challenge him to a Tae Kwon Do duel, winner takes the presidency. Now I just need to find a Vice Pres and set up all the other positions.
Seriously, that pisses me off. He gets a Nobel Peace Prize even though he has done NOTHING but sit on his ass and make promises, now he gets a sign of mastery for sitting on his ass? GRAH.
Peace Prize is a lie, now his belt is a lie. Sure, he can say he has a black belt, but that's all it is in his hands. A piece of black cloth. Lies all around.

Anywho, moving on, Obama's not worth the dwelling.
Not like it matters much here but pretty soon I'm gonna be remodeling my Macbook. Keep your fingers crossed and hope nothing gets fucked up. I'm wiping Bootcamp off and reinstalling Windows (again) under Parallels, then upgrading from 2 GB of RAM to 4 GB, along with getting an external harddrive for Time Machine to make backups to. Also, because Parallels still has yet to enable full graphic tablet support, I unfortunately have to say goodbye to GIMP (for now) and migrate to Photoshop. Crap. I don't like Photoshop. It can have all the fancy shit it wants, but GIMP's user interface is far better, and the hotkeys are practically universal, unlike Photoshop where CTRL Z is both Undo and Redo instead of just plain Undo. I know I can set up custom hotkeys in Photoshop but it bitches at me that my favorite hotkeys are already defaults of other functions and can't be used, I don't wanna sit there and hash out keystroke after keystroke...blarg. I'll shut up and figure something out. But I don't wanna lose GIMP ;^;
(yes, I know there's GIMP for Mac, but it doesn't have pressure sensitivity yet, which is almost 3/4 of my digital drawing basis. If I wanna draw solid lines I'll use a Paths tool or a mouse; if I have a tablet pen I wanna use pressure sensitivity dammit xD)


Oy...yeah, I like to complain. Someone's gotta do it. If no one complained, things wouldn't get fixed.



Not much in the way of good news; the lack of school would be good news, except it means I have to spend more time at work and then more time at home cleaning in prep for the move to Florida. So much for building my portfolio _ _;;;

SPEAKING OF WORK
Anyone got any suggestions for a more physical job? Currently all I do is sit in a lab all day. I'm thinking of working at Red Lobster as a waiter. Can't do cashier jobs, too boring for my attention problems to cope with D:
